Brian started in this business in 1977. It was his desire to find a way in which young people, those with only limited up-front cash available, and others who have experienced past financial difficulties could “have a little piece of land of their own.” Thus the 100% financing concept came about. On the other hand, he did not want to exclude those buyers who elected to pay cash, had a down payment, or who elected to finance elsewhere. For those reasons we offer the opportunity to buy down the interest rate or give a discount from the published prices for cash buyers. Brian lives in Knoxville, TN, and manages to stay involved on a daily basis, particularly in the choosing and acquisition of tracts to be sub-divided.

Owner financing paved the way for Shawn and Victoria to spend five years living off the grid, experiencing the path to self sufficiency.  These experiences ring familiar with many customers desiring a similar lifestyle.  During their off-grid adventure, they utilized solar panels for electricity, gardened for a significant portion of their food, and raised a small flock of chickens, guineas, turkeys, and ducks.  Shawn and Victoria have both become active with their church, as well as with others interested in homesteading, off-gridding, and general outdoor lifestyles.

Ashley resides in Union County, Tennessee with her husband Brent and their three children . She grew up in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee on a 70 acre cattle farm where she first began to fall in love with life in the country. Her love for Rural land and the owner financing concept is what attracted her to Country Places Inc. She has a wide variety of office skills from her experience in the mortgage industry and she looks forward to growing with Country Places Inc. When she isn't in the office keeping our customers happy, she is usually spending time on Norris Lake or outdoors with her family and friends.

Jodi resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband Don, and their four children. She has a degree in education and homeschools all four of their children. She grew up in a farming town in Southern Michigan before going to college in Indiana and moving here to East Tennessee in 1995. She has had a variety of office experience that includes promotions, merchandising, and college admissions officer. Her variety of experience aids in her current position with Country Places, Inc.  She enjoys reading, sailing, hiking, and outdoor activities, but above all she loves the Vols!

Jeff recently joined Country Places Inc. after 30 years as as environmental engineer.; Jeff was raised on a small organic farm in Kentucky specializing in dairy goats and organic gardening. He continues the country lifestyle currently living on 27 acres with his wife Jean and two daughters Emily and Kate. Jeff's Hobbies include organic gardening, woodworking,hiking, and fishing. Jeff is currently experimenting with implementing forest agriculture (mushrooms and ginseng) at his homestead.

Don grew up in a rural farming community in Michigan. After serving in the Army he moved to East Tennessee to attend college and fell in love with the mountains and the East Tennessee way of life. Don's family lives on 6 acres that they purchased through owner financing with Country Places. Don, his wife Jodi and their four children raise animals, garden, and are working towards "living off the land" and "off the grid".

Glenn and Lisa are a husband and wife team that were born and raised in Massachusetts and have eight children between the both of them . They purchased their own land when relocating to Tennessee through owner financing with Country Places, which they love.  Glen and Lisa both have shared knowledge in small farming and raising animals  that they are establishing in the new location. They are currently working on building their home and using alternative energy. Glenn and Lisa both enjoy the country life-style and living off the land. In their free time they both enjoy going for walks and spending time with their family and friends.
